Senior hunger is all around us – even in Kane County, Illinois.
There are seniors who live alone or in retirement homes who do not eat regularly.

AND THIS PROBLEM IS GROWING

THE PROBLEM ISN’T GOING AWAY

In fact, the rate of hunger in seniors 60 and over has INCREASED 53% since 2001 and is expected to INCREASE ANOTHER 50% by 2025.

WHAT WE ARE DOING ABOUT IT

In addition to hunger, health issues facing seniors are also increasing, including
diabetes and high blood pressure because of the lack of nutrition in our senior’s diets.

Unfortunately for many seniors who struggle with hunger and food insecurity,
they regularly choose between medical care and eating right – or eating at all.

THIS IS WHAT WE DO

We are Meals on Wheels – delivering meals to homebound seniors. Plus each senior receives a Well-Being Check with EVERY meal delivery.
